Our New Addition: Baby Jorry

We are blessed to welcome the birth of our son Joren into the world as of 2-16 at 3:38 in the afternoon. After 12 hours of laboring in the hospital, my incredible wife delivered or 8 pound 8 ounce baby boy, Joren. I was able to capture, with the help of Sam, my future sister-in-law, the whole process. Praise God for an amazing delivery and healthy mom and baby. Special thanks to Mel & John for watching out children during our stay at the hospital and for all the prayers offered up on our behalf. Katie and I we blessed with amazing staff at Memorial Health Care Center. Also, thank you to all our friends and family who came to see us and spoil us with gifts and treats. Featured! A Northwoods Wedding

Over that past few months, I have begun to submit some of my work to industry blogs and magazines. It has taken me some time convincing myself to face possible rejection. It feels like dating all over again, however, I must admit this has been less painful. Thank God I am married! I feel so blessed to have found blogs who appreciate my images. My goal for 2012 is to send my images to a magazine to see if they would be interested in publishing them in print. I understand that it takes a certain type of wedding and while all my clients are incredible and unique, those in the wedding print/blog industry are looking for details, vendors, and things they can market to others $$. People look for inspiration for their own weddings, browse vendors and locations. Much of this is done via the internet and these incredible blogs. Special Thanks to Britt & Jenna for featuring both Andrew and Emilie's wedding & Ryan & Kristin's Engagement .
Katie and I have begun to book for the 2013 wedding season, but still have available fall dates available for 2012!

Al & Audrey {Amherst Winter Wedding}

Audrey & Al tied the knot, or in this case, got blow torched together at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst, Wisconsin this past January. Audrey is an art student at UW-GB and poured her whole heart into the design of this wedding. The groom constructed the metal birds, which were welded together during the ceremony.

 Al's grandmother held their wedding rings, a homage to a photograph taken at his grandparents' wedding. Winter weddings are rare and for good reason, they require tough skin and exceptional couples willing to face the cold. I was fortunate enough to capture these two right before sunset; a must have for couples looking for intimate wedding day portraits. Thank you both for allowing us to capture your day. J+K
