Simon + Stephanie {Munson Bridge Wedding}

From the rings, to the flowers, this was one of the most unique weddings I have had the pleasure of attending. Simon and Stephanie are both educators who share a love for their students and each other! They have an amazing chemistry that is as unique as they are. Their ceremony and reception were both held at Munson Bridge Winery, one of our favorite local vendors. Highlights included wonderful wine, a perfect speech from the father, guests from around the British Isles, attempting to fly a kite, rings made of space-rock, buttons, Welsh Pennies, peacock feathers, corks, bird cages, parasols, golden chandlers, bird seed, cupcakes, amazing food, and wonderful people. Such a beautiful day! We are looking forward to what 2012 will bring us! We feel so blessed to have been able to work with some of the most amazing couples over the past year. Andrew and Emilie set the bar for weddings this year. I had the pleasure of getting to know them a little before their wedding thanks to their personal 'see you on the court' style engagement shoot. They were high school sweet hearts and attended different Universities. Both grew up in the Abbotsford area, but now reside in Madison. Emilie was kind enough to share a little about her wedding! Thank you both so much for letting Katie and I be apart of your day. May God be the center of your lives together. From the Bride: The Frank Wedding, September 17th, 2011I couldn't have expected a more beautiful wedding day. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted a slim, lacy gown that flowed in a long train, held by small white buttons down my back. Yet, when I put my simple, ball-gown style wedding dress on, I knew it was it! It went perfectly with what I envisioned for our wedding day. Simple Elegance. While planning our wedding day with all DYI projects, I pictured elegant table linens, lighted with dark lanterns and whimsical table numbers. I envisioned a beautiful piece of furniture that would hold our place cards, a cake full of gorgeous peonies, and a lighted chandelier surrounded by other white lights hanging above the dance floor. And this is exactly what it was!The table linens we used were actually from a friend's wedding a year previous. I got them about a month before my wedding, only to realize we were about 15 short! I went to the nearest craft store, and thankfully they had the exact style linens on sale! I made the rest of the table runners in my simple, one-bedroom apartment a month before. The lanterns for our centerpieces were found on craigslist from a couple in Chicago. They told me where they got them (IKEA) just in case we needed more. We ended up buying a few more from Minneapolis, and they worked perfectly for the setting! The table numbers I created on my Mac with a vintage border I found on a DYI wedding site. The oversized clothespins holding each table number were found at JoAnn Fabrics, stained by my mother and myself the night before our wedding.One of my favorite items of our wedding were the mason jars filled with hydrangeas hung on the church pews. I found these mason jars at thrift shops and in cupboards. The morning before my wedding, my best friend Bethany and I filled each one with the hydrangeas, roses, and berries I bought in bulk online. We actually only bought 50 hydrangeas, 100 roses, and 35 bunches of berries. However, I knew I wanted a reception hall FULL of hydrangeas. I picked the rest of our flowers off a hydrangea bush from an elderly gentleman who lives in a small town near my grandparents. Each mason jar was tied with bailer twine and hung on each pew lining the aisle of our Baptist church. To save some money, we used these same flower-filled mason jars as a part of the reception centerpieces for each table. Also, each bridesmaid plopped her bouquet (which a friend and I also made ourselves) into a vase set on the head table to save more on flowers. This was one of our biggest budget saver! The vintage photos of my grandparents on their own wedding days were a wonderful touch that many people enjoyed viewing throughout the night. These photos were compliments of my Aunt Sally, who is wonderful at keeping and creatively using these beautiful images in unique crafts and cards. They were strung at the entrance of our reception hall on twine and clipped with small clothespins. My grandma made the tasty candies that I received compliments for all night. She has been making and selling candy for the past 10 years, and is amazing! The cake was a masterpiece made by my mother-in-law herself. She made each fondant-crafted peony by hand. It took my, as well as many of our guests', breath away! She also has been doing cakes for quite some time.Another fun touch were the mason jars strung by bailer twine and hung on shepards' hooks lining the sidewalk of the reception hall. We set a candle inside each jar, which lit the path for our guests as they walked down the sidewalk.

{Waupaca Ale House Wedding} John & Billie Jo

When asked to shoot a wedding for a previous college friend(s) of mine, I was thrilled to say the least. I was not only looking forward to seeing old friends, but also having the pleasure of enjoying their music together. I don't remember the exact day of freshman year when I met John and Billie Jo, but I do recall a few late nights with them, listening the 'the Wingmen' serenade us around a campfire. For Jo, John was a package deal, guitar, voice, looks, and all; among charming, intelligent, and downright chivalrous. These two were the most visibly happy couple of 2011; their smiles and laughter are contagious. Their wedding party was filled with siblings and dear friends who were equally as ecstatic to be a part of their day. Their pre-Chinese fire drill prank was one to remembered as well as the inside handshakes, shot gunning, and dancing. My little sister was out from Utah and was able to come along and see what her big brother does for a living. I am looking forward to many more photo-adventures together. Looking at these images, I realized I included the moments sometimes left out of wedding blogs. I am hoping to include more of these types of images in the future. The wedding story just wouldn't be complete without those in-between images that are not always perfect or planned, but are real life. The photos that remind you of a moment, an emotion, a fleeting thought all leading up to the words "I do." You might not remember every single person who was at your wedding, or remember what was on the tables, but I hope you remember the way you felt about one another on that day, because when it is all over, your commitment to one another is all that matters. Now that the craziness of the Holidays are drawing to an end, I can start to share with you more of our 2011 weddings. My New Years resolution, there are many, but one is to start blogging more. After writing a 20 page business plan for 2012, I feel I owe to myself, my family, and my business to stick to it! Jace & Lacey's wedding day was filled with emotion, crazy weather, and most of all love! These two decided to see each other before the wedding so the rest of their day was spent celebrating and not focusing on making sure they could fit time in to be photographed. It is a good thing they did because it poured!

Leah is one of those people who really does not need an introduction. Her style is her own as is her unique personality. I have had the great opportunity to not only photograph Leah in the countryside of Merrill, but also serve as one of her super awesome youth group leaders at the CEYC here in Medford. Over the past few years, I have been blessed to serve as a mentor, really just a glorified participant, as a mentor for both Junior and Senior Highers. Since I cannot have favorites, I will say she is simply one who faith and journey have enhanced my life. I am continually encouraged by the youth of Medford and their courage in facing the trials of everyday life as a teenager or worse a pre-teenager. There is no way I would ever want to take their place. I thought growing up not only a decade earlier that my life was rough, buy we, and my we I mean most parents, don't have a clue of the challenges they face daily in their walk with God. Leah and many of the students I see every week show up, more or less against their will, but every week are touched and changed a little more by the Gospel. I am remarkably fortunate to work with the always-effervescent Pastor Luke Hatfield, who I call my friend and confidant; it is his dedication to Jesus and the spreading of the Awesome Message of the Gospel that compels these students to stand for something much bigger than themselves. Their faith is not perfect, neither are their leaders, however, their candid and sometimes shocking reality is enough to test my faith daily and for that, I am thankful. Senior year marks the end of a journey I have with these students and while I wish I could say I had a greater impact on their lives, I know that Jesus alone will have done it all. To him be the glory. As you journey away from familiar faces, hallways, and parents, take Him with you wherever you go. Leah, you will do great things - you will mess up and feel unsure of probably everything, you will say I wish I could have done that, or wish you had everything planned out, but remember that you can make all the plans in the world, but God always has the eraser and the pencil to your life. Give the master of the universe the freedom to write your story. It already is a great one filled with grace and mercy. There are so many joys that come with my job, but none are quite as fun as photographing friends, family, or people from your past. Teddy read a poem I wrote at our great grandmother's funeral. This is something I will always remember, because I was too afraid I would cry while reading it. Our great grandmother was a sweet lady who would wait with me on her front porch as I waited for the bus. I will never forget the candies she would sneak into my hand before leaving for school. This poem I wrote years ago, right around the time I started seeing my wife. How time flies by and how quickly things change. Photographs are a huge part of holding onto memories- just another reason I love my job. Thank you Teddy for being you.

Camp Forest Springs Formal {Ghana + Wisconsin Couple}

Beth + Frank Beth contacted me a few months ago asking me to recreate a wedding day portrait shoot. After filling me in on their story and letting me know that they would like their photos to be taken at Camp Forest Springs, I was all in. I am honored to be a part of their story, which Beth was willing to share with you all. God is awesome and I am thankful he brought this couple into my life. Enjoy!When Beth left her home in Central Wisconsin to join the Peace Corps in June of 2008, she had no idea how drastically her life was about to change. She was sent to Ghana, West Africa to teach high school science in a rural community called Kumbungu. It was there that she met Frank, and in a short time they became friends as he taught her all about Ghana, his native country and the rich culture of his people. The more time she spent in Ghana, the more Beth fell in love with the friendly people, the spicy food, the interesting culture, the sense of community, and the beautiful landscape. And before she knew it she fell in love with one more part of Ghana....she fell in love with Frank. They knew it wouldn't be an easy life together. Melding two lifestyles and two cultures together has it's struggles. Despite these obstacles, both Beth and Frank felt God's hands constantly pulling them closer to each other and closer to Himself. After two years together, the couple decided to marry, and they celebrated their marriage before their entire community on August 14th, 2010. A cow was bought, rice was cooked, drummers and dancers performed and the uniting of two lives, two families and two cultures took place on that day.Now after one year of marriage, Beth and Frank have moved back to Wisconsin. They still face the challenges of an intercultural marriage. They miss Ghana and the family and friends they left behind. However, they are also excited to see what the future will hold for them and what lessons God has to teach them. They are learning to make Christ their common culture and heaven their homeland. They have laughed together and cried together and know there will be both joys and tears in the future, but through it all they are trusting God to see them through and weave his pattern through the fabric of their lives. Geoff & Lindsey were married this past June in Vesper at Trinity Lutheran Church. They have been friends of ours for some time, they have been together as long as we have known them. We have shared a few late night adventures and fond memories with these two. This day was beautiful and went on without a hitch, well, almost. Unfortunately, their limo caught fire, fortunately, it was replaced and no one was hurt. Instead of replacing it with another limo, the company sent a huge coach bus instead. How's that for customer service? Every wedding has something go wrong whether there is a torrential downpour or there is an OCD church director with a phone book list of rules and regulations or you are a half hour out from the ceremony and the pastor tells you that you must remain at the very back of the church the whole ceremony!!! The joys of wedding photography are endless, but no matter what challenges life throws you on your big day (photographer or otherwise), remind yourself two people are getting married today- AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS! So often we get caught up in the 'perfection' of the day, that we miss the reality that life and love is messy and not every moment is perfection. Sometimes the kitchen starts on fire or the limo for that mater (Thank GOD we have each other in those moments and HIM). Lindsey and Geoff have each other and these memories and more to share for a lifetime. I will remember the way they looked at each other as Lindsey was walked down the isle by her father. Both of them were beaming and thrilled to be committing their lives to one another not just when life is flawless and the they look beautiful with their friends and family are all around them supporting them, but their lives when there is drywall all over the house and you have to bathe in the sink and your mother-in-law is driving you nuts! 3 years and counting

So I was daring enough to look back at the first blog posts I ever made on this blog, not really knowing where it would go or how I would change through it all. I can't believe it has been three years. Where has the time gone? This seems to be the theme of my life right now, thank God I have photos. My children have grown up right in front of me, school is winding up, which has been the most challenging journey of my life. I am ready to be done for a while. Seven years of undergraduate is more than enough! My dreams for grad school are going to have to wait- my oldest needs his dad to teach him about God, numbers, ancestors, and of course history. With our newest arrival coming this winter, I am looking forward to yet another chapter of life with our baby. (He does not have a name yet, but we are still taking suggestions). I plan of spending my winter working on research, starting and actually finishing a book for leisure, playing with the kiddos, and taking my wife on an actual date that does not revolve around our jobs as photographers. We are looking forward to getting back into the swing of small group and growing closer to God. We are in the process of seeing where God would like us to be as a family in 5 more years. WE ARE SO BLESSED! As the wedding season is drawing to a close, I already looking forward to next summer and the adventures we will be on. I have kept many of my weddings off the web this summer. Since I allow my clients to pick their favorites, I am waiting on a few to select their must-have-edits. My life in this chair is moving me to want to shoot film- a whole new expense, something that might now fit into my total money makeover. More about that later. I have decided I need to share more of my life on here, the blog itself does bare my name and I don't really care to change it. Every photograph I take is more or less a self portrait. I believe that, but I don't really know what I think of the photos that don't turn out the way I want them- yes that happens, I am not perfect. Where do I want to be with my business in another three years? I know, but I am not telling just yet- I gave God the eraser so we never know. Since every post deserves some eye candy, here is a few from my afternoon out in the Northwoods cold. :) More coming soon of course.

Chris & Jackie {Eau Claire Wedding}

I knew from the moment I met these two that their wedding was going to be a blast. They most certainly know how to get hitched without a glitch. Their nuptials took place at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. The yard was somewhat under construction, so we are limited in our outdoor options at the church, however, our trust limo driver took us to some great locations in Eau Claire where we were able to cut loose and have a little fun. We ended the night at Florian Gardens- photos at sunset were taken in a nearby field. Special thanks to an amazing couple and bridal party for making me feel right at home among friends, always makes my day go by fast. Chris and Jackie- we wish you the best in your adventure together and we hope the memories made on your day take you back and remind you of your beautiful day. Jessica and her mom took me on a great adventure where we ran into a lot of misquiotes, which really can go extinct anytime, a friendly apple-throwing uncle, a few cows, and a quaint sunflower patch on some of her grandparents land. Kate & Jordan both will be going back to college in a few days, one to Michigan Tech and the other to UW-Stevens Point respectively. They both will be playing basketball for their school and continuing their long distance relationship. Kate and Jordan are very passionate about what they do and each other, both being very committed to their schooling and each other. Before going to back to school, I had the joy of photographing these two under the shade of a Florida willow. This shoot feels like it was shot with Fuji film from the good old days. A white pillow case was all that was used for external light reflection. I went with a soft vintage wash and a plaetina for the last image.

Florida Ocean Pier Shoot: {Daytona Beach, Florida}

These are just a few from one of the many photo shoots taken while down in Florida. I had never been to Daytona Beach, Florida before and Kelsey had never modeled before. While being nearly fully submerged underwater taking these photographs, Kelsey had to dodge some man's net as he tossed it over her head. The pier was covered with sea life and the water was surprisingly warm. We decided to go to a beach where there had not been a recent shark attack. Since it was Shark Week on the Discovery Channel while we were in Orlando, Florida, we decided it would be a good idea to stay close to shore and away from shark infested waters. It goes without saying, but she is a bombshell and camera loves her. These were all shot with natural light and without reflectors.

I really don't think this family could be any more beautiful if they tried! Being a lifestyle photographer comes with its unexpected moments like when one of your clients hits the other with a rock or you have a run away model, but nothing compares to getting those precious raw moments that seem to go by so fast as a parent. I feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to photograph our kiddie-corner neighbors on such a perfect mid-July evening on the farm. This family of four will soon become one more- hoping to see more of them in the near future.

Dan & Andrea {Chicago Engagement}

I had the pleasure of meeting Dan and Andrea a few short weeks ago over strawberry lemonade, little did I know, they would be asking me to come to Chicago to take their engagement photos. They had one request, Chicago skyline near sunset; I think we nailed it! After braving the cool wind coming off of Lake Michigan for nearly two hours, we made our way to the lake walk next to the Adler Planetarium. Previously, we were making the grounds surrounding the Shedd Aquarium our personal outdoor studio. Dan & Andrea were perfect subjects, accenting the Chicago Skyline, their chemistry evident in so many of the photographs. This is one of my favorites, a short preview. They were so patient with me as I jumped about as they shivered in the damp wind. It gave them a great excuse to love on another and share their warmth. It might be similar circumstances during their New Years winter wedding! Thank you both for an amazing two hours. The kids loved the Shedd and the timing could not have been more perfect. We made it home to Medford, WI, kids exhausted from a full day of the Lincoln Park Zoo, the Aquarium, and swimming the night before, at 3:30 in the morning. More to come!

Chris + Jackie {Milwaukee Art Museum Engagement Shoot!}

I have always wanted to do a shoot at the Milwaukee Art Museum after taking a high school trip to Milwaukee Junior year. I could not have asked for a more easy going and sweet couple. Chris & Jackie call Milwaukee home and will be getting married in Eau Claire later this summer. The trip was well worth it! The kids were able to hang at the hotel with my sister, who is visiting from Utah, and my brother's girl friend. There is a sense of accomplishment that comes from surviving a weekend with 7 small lives in a crammed van heading to a large city. We were kept safe by the one who saves! Stokes Easter 2011

Easter is by far my most favorite holiday. There isn't all the pressure of gifts and there is nothing more awesome than Jesus' death and resurrection! With the smell of spring in the air, the children are anxious to get outside after months of being stuck indoors. Sunday mornings are always a hectic time in our house, but this Easter morning allowed for our traditional impromptu photo shoot. Forget trying to photograph children when they first wake up, feed then photograph. Lesson learned.

Every year, my father writes clues for me and my two younger adult brothers. This is a tradition I can't wait to continue with my children. But since they are just learning to read, we will focus on simple easter egg hunts and playing with aunts and uncles. They are so blessed to be so loved. AJ and Riv shared an adorable brother-sister moment after breakfast on the farm. AJ tried to plant one on Rivy, but she was playing hard to get.

Reserving your Wedding Date

Dear Future Brides and Grooms,

Weekly, I get couples contacting me about wedding availability. Often, I am booked a year in advance, but sometimes I do have dates open. My calendar is published on my website, but I appreciate the contact.

If you are the first person to contact me for a date, you get first dibs. Meaning if there is another couple looking at the date, I will let you know and give your first chance to get me your signed contract and the non-refundable deposit. The first couple has a week before I give the second couple the opportunity to secure their date. This is my least favorite part of my job because I would honestly like to capture them all, but I simply cannot be two places at once.

To be honest, I do not really know of a better way of doing this process. However, I do know that I want to be fair to my potential clients and fair to myself. Scheduling is so important in this business. It is also a major challenge that takes many hours of emails and paper work. So if you are a couple who is interested in any photographer, not just me, get them your deposit and contract. I try to get back to my email inquires within a day and I appreciate it when people get back to me in the same manner.

{Judah} 1 Year Photos

So I have had two indoor shoots over the past two weeks. The first, I took my studio lighting equipment and set up in a clients home. This worked great for doing a simple family shoot, however, did not work so great for capturing a 11 month old. This second shoot, I took a whole different approach. I decided to use an off camera 580ex II with remote trigger TTL metering shot through a white scrim/reflector. A technique I have been using to get a softer look with my portraits. My lovely wife was the one having to hold both the flash and the scrim. To do it correctly they both need to be on a tri-pod. I tried to get as much natural light into the shot as possible. I did a manual white balance metering, which I happen to like, but only when my flash goes off. The interesting dilemma with manual white balance is that you have to re-shoot your 18% grey card every time you change lighting conditions. I am still working with how to use a grey card in post processing, but to be honest I prefer my own coloring to the cameras. Secondly, you have to shoot with a very large aperture, 1.2+. In my case 1.4 or 1.8- My ISO was between 50-1000 however, I did shoot most of these shots at 400 which is my preference for indoor lighting. I did struggle with a lot of grain in some of these photos, but you won't be able to tell. My post editing involved really reducing the clarity and boosting the sharpness. I applied various lighting effects to really open up my images and give them that creamy magazine effect.

Well enough about me... Judah was such trouper in his coat - wan't such a fan of his hats. As you can tell, he is quite in love with his mother and his stuffed bear. Would love to hear what you all think? Special thanks to Mrs. W. for making for a wonderful afternoon. Thank you!

What it means to be a photographer...

Being a photographer, student, father, husband, youth group leader, employee, and son defiantly comes with its struggle for balance. I am learning,the hard way I might add, how short life can really be. My job as a photographer is to capture roughly 1/200th of a second of life. All the photographs you take in your life won't add up to a minute of existence and yet we [photographers] spend their whole lives cataloging these moments. So why do we do it? Often photographers will say it is their passion, but for me it is much more than that. It is a combination of artistic instinct, having had a camera in my hand from age 6 on, and the simple love for photographs. I must admit that I am a bit of tech-geek, and love all of the equipment that goes a long with it. I use to spend hours after school in the photo lab in high school, developing my final projects for Film. Later, I learned how to use Photoshop 7 and it became second nature to me. I found it amazing how you could manipulate reality and create a photograph that looks like how envisioned it. The world I see through the lens of my camera is always changing. I am always looking for ways to improve my art and convey a certain message in my photographs.

But possible the biggest thing that has really sculpted me as a photographer was my 35mm Pentax Program Plus. I feel in love with aperture, depth of field, ISO, and shutter speed. It has taken a while to reach the amount of Digital SLR equipment I need to feel comfortable shooting professionally. I currently have lens that span from 16-200mm. I so excited to begin shooting with what I like to call my 'story-telling lens' the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens. Also, I recently got a new speedlight 580ExII and battery grip for my Canon 5d Mark II. This however, will add a great deal of weight to my camera load, so I have been working to insure I can withstand the 12 hour days! I am starting to get cabin fever and look forward shoot tomorrow.

I hope to have more of these posts as well in the new year. More of me just talking about what I do, why I do it, and what i use.

Children: Lesson in {Art}

There is a lot of time and effort that goes into editing one photograph. With the age of digital, photographers are given greater creative elasticity with their images. Some view this as the corruption of the digital era; personally I can appreciate both film and digital as being almost independent of one another. I must say that I miss how it felt to get a roll of film developed, but I don't miss opening that package of prints are realizing they were all blank. There is something to be said for the amount of stress that goes into photographing a subject. Often photographers are the mercy of the elements, we must adapt with what were are given and the limited amount of equipment we are able to carry on our back, or in my lucky case, my wife's back.

This photo is a picture of my cousin's son, who I had the pleasure of photographing on location in Emery County Utah this past July. There just so happened to have been no cloud clover that day, so it was very bright out that day. We improvised by using natural shade and a white scrim. This was naturally shot without a flash. As you can tell from the original jpg. the colors were very saturated. I desaturated the RAW file and opened up the shadows. The final two images were a combination of some face and eye touch ups with an overall sharpening action, subtle vignette, and a vintage coloring pallet.

I am going to blog more posts of this nature in the new year describing my workflow and editing process. Currently, I use overlays to add texture to my vintage images.

Only a few more days until Christmas! For the most part, my clients have sent out their 2010 Christmas Cards. I have been waiting to post these, just in case! I have to admit that half of my 50 are in the mail, on their way to mostly my family members in Utah, Ohio, Arizona, Missouri, and Georgia. Wish we could all be together for the Holidays, but I know that once you see the smiling faces of my children you will feel the love!

We had the trip of a lifetime over the summer, trekking cross-country to visit my paternal family in Central Eastern Utah. We have taken the trip two years prior, but we added a new addition since then and had one less helper, my cousin Chelsea. Every other summer we either go to Ohio or Utah. Really don't know how I am going to fit Ohio into wedding season this summer, but we do plan on going to Florida for a week with my younger college age siblings. Anyway, we usually try to incorporate our travels into our Christmas Card each year. We were able to see as much of Yellowstone as we could with three kids under the age of six. They were good and we had a blast. Stopping in Jackson Hole is always a highlight for me with the Tetons off in the distance. Wyoming was the place we took our first family vacation out of state when I was growing up, which really was only 7 years ago. For those of you who have never been to Utah, you are missing out. My wife planed our trip beautifully, however, we never planned for our bike rack to give us as many problems as it did. We did not make it to Rushmore this year because of it, but I must say Devil's Tower was quite memorable with the 100+ degree heat and my wife and I trying to ratchet our bike rack without causing a scene. Katie, my wife, you are incredible and I would travel across the universe with you as my co-pilot. Actually, she drives and I man the GPS, she isn't really a fan of him nor maps in general. We compliment each other wonderfully because I can't drive without falling asleep unless I am traveling well beyond the speed limit for the adrenaline rush. During mountain travel my wife sleeps and I drive. Nothing like driving in the mountains without guard rails and realizing that there are hundred foot drops on each side of you.

Of course I took my camera; I won't get into how many images I lost with the crash of 2010, don't worry no client images were lost. I do recommend Carbonite Online Backup and numerous external hard drive. I just might need to get another one just for 2011. 30mb per images is a lot when you take thousands of images in a day! This was a pretty big year for Anakin starting kindergarten and getting to ride to school with his grandfather and riding the bus home. Rivalee is growing into herself and truly is our little princess, attitude to spare. Jasper, well Jaspy as well call him, is currently cutting teeth and I don't have a whole lot of positive things to say about him, other than he love his daddy. It is pretty cute when he climbs into my office chair and proceeds to slam him 'bam-bam' fists down on my keyboard. Need less to say, my computer is on lock down with the kids around.

Katie and I are still going to school at Concordia Saint Paul finishing up our Bachelor's degrees. I did get my Associates this past spring from the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County, which marked the half-way point in my educational journey. I am not looking forward to the 100+ page synthesis project I have to write over the next 15 months.

That being said, I look forward to another eventful year full of amazing clients, beautiful weddings, and smiling faces. I have been so blessed this year, I can only imagine what next year will bring. I officially only have a month until Wedding Season starts, February-October this year. From my family to yours,
